It looks like someone just made a cheaper version of the Oasis.

Both are probably made in China nad work the same way. I would say if it has a warranty then go with it.

Never used a le viel, but I picked up a Hydra on cbad for about that, maybe a little less, I think $67. I remember they had a blue one that looks the same as a hydra, they go for around $60.

I have one, it came with the humidor I bought. I've had it for a year now and it still works fine, does make some noise when the fan kicks on but, not real loud. Seems to do the job.

i would advise against buying one.
Ron, I would much rather buy from you but just can't justify spending close to 100 on what is more of reserve humi than anything else. If you have some lower end models or know of a way for me to shop with you I would love to do so.

it really had nothing to do with buying from me.

i had been negotiating to buy a LOT of Le Veil's for the manufacturer. Before I would commit, I tested a couple, and did an extensive search on all the cigar boards for opinions.

I was not too happy with the 2 that I tested. out of the box accuracy was poor. The recalibration feature should have made the inaccuracy issue a non issue, but the recal feature did not work at all on 1 test unit, and worked poorly on another test model. The fan output seemed to be less than the Cigar Oasis. The units also seemed to run a little warm, not something you would want in a desktop or small cabinet. Overall, they worked, but not the way in which they were advertised.

It also seemed that the few reviews that I did find were not full of praise for the Le Veil.

Thanks for the response Ron. I may need to look at something else. I can handle most of those issues for what i need it for, but the heat thing i a problem for me. Any suggestions on an alternate unit?
