I purchased a 1oz 65% heartfelt humidity tube. The humidity has rose to the high 70's. Could I have over watered it?
It looked like there were still white beads after I sprayed and let it sit for a few minutes.

What type of humidor? is it temp controled and with what? How old is your humidor and did it hold humidity before with a different device? Have you added lots of new sticks? Is it packed to the gills? what is the humidity of the room it's kept in? If you take the tube out does the humidity start to drop or maintain?

It was 5% off with the salt test.
My humidor is a tupperware container for now. I had a dry mistat tube in it and switched to the humidity tube and the humidity started rising into the 80's. I took the tube out and put it in a seperate empty container with the hygrometer and it went up into the mid 90's. I have cheaper store bought hygrometers, but I know that they are not that far off. I will break down and get a adjustable one from one of the sponsers.

Personally, I would get a digital one, that way you can see the temp and humidity. I am not to fond of the analogs.

Smoke one of the sticks and see if it smokes wet (hard to draw, and/or pronounced cone-shaped ruby, and/or inadequate amount of smoke, and/or tastes sour). If it tastes OK, don't worry about it.

There you go. Too much worry about the numbers. Try the sticks!! Good advice. I used to check my humi ebry day and try to keep it perfect. Now, I try the cigars and adjust.
