So I have had my wine cooler up and running for a while with a cigar oasis. I have it set on 67% humidity and the digital reads about 68-69. I also have two small tube containers of 65% beads that I used in a humi before I bought the wine cooler. I had them in the wine cooler and checked them and noticed they were practically white.
Shouldn't they be more on the clear side?

They get clear when they are wet. I use beads in my wine cooler with an Oasis plus. Since the oasis really only put moisture out, I use the beads to absorb excess moisture. They work well together to keep the RH% nice and stable. If they are white it just means they are on the dry side.

If the beads are white then it mean that they are slightly dry. what is your relative humidy?

The beads in mine stay pretty white as well...and I've got my Oasis set at 66.5%...and my calibrated digital gauge reads 65%.

I used to used both a COXL and a couple pounds of beads. I noticed the Co never really ran, and took it out for a buddy to use. My beads keep mine steady at 64% for 8 months now.

Ok... I won't worry about the beads being white then.

Have you guys with the vinotemps noticed your built in fan running real low when the wine cooler isn't cooling? I'm wondering if the air being pushed towards a tray might not be good?

I have been running two cpu fans in my veno for a year now, works great. I leave them on for a couple of days then turn it off for a while. Works great for me.

No...because I've got a Rancho ETC :smokingbo
ME TOO!!! They turn off all power to the unit when the temp is good. If it get's too wram the unit will turn on, cool off and then againn all power is cut to the unit. I had to have one, since i don't have a vinotemp, my cooler's highest setting is like 50 degrees, which is too cold for my liking.
