these are not an official retail item. they will be sold to cigar companies. Jamie and Josh from Cigar Caddy are making a few available to cigar board members. cost is $225 plus shipping. If you want 1, lmk and I can arrange it.

For that price you could get a waterproof Serpac case with humidifier & hygrometer of your choice (& have some left over to spend on smokes) = That would withstand being thrown out of an airplane into the ocean.

the case that Caddy is using is airtight, crushproof, waterproof, etc. along the lines of the Pelican, Seahorse, and other brands. this size and type case will usually sell for $125 to $150 at discount retailers. The next big expense is the custom foam trays. these trays are big. they can not be made of just foam, not enough support. so the trays are 2 piece, custom made of foam for protection, and plastic for rigidity. then you have custom foam for the lid so that it holds a hygrometer and humidifier. anybody who has ever had custom foam manufactured (like me), knows that this is not cheap.

You could not duplicate this case for $225. I know the costs to put this thing together. I have done it myself. This is an advertising venture for Cigar Caddy, not a for profit item like thier standard products

Ron - good points!

Just playin devil's advocate.

If I was going to be stranded on a deserted island & could only bring 200 of my favorite smokes, this would be at the top of my priority list. Lol.

But seriously - it does look really cool!

:seesaw:
