Was issued one of these little dealibobs today. Lots of buttons. I have figured out how to make a call and found BOTL but that is about it. My son picks it up shows me a movie, navigator and mp3. Whoa. Email next.

Hard to navigate BOTL on this damn little screen. You really lik,e this thing Randy?

Those look pretty cool, and fairly similar to the iPhone. I have navigated this site on my iPhone before but I definitely prefer to check it out on a computer.

They talked me into one and I used it for a month ( I was told I wouldn't have to carry a laptop, that was a crock). Gave it to one of my young road warriors and he loves it...............and I love my old razor phone.

Yea, these new touch phones suck. I got Verizon and they have a Samsung Omnia that I just picked up. You have to have the fingers of an elf to hit the keys.

I tried one real quick and was not impressed. I have a Samsung i760 which is pretty good. The Storm is a heat sensitive touch screen though, which means you can only use your finger tips and not any other means to work the screen

Things like that always have a learning curve, especially if it's your first device in a certain genre. It took me a couple days to get used to the iPhone's touch screen interface...now, I REALLY wish all computers had touch screens!

I found this out the hard way on a chilly morning and I couldn't use my iphone with gloves on.

I'd love to see how the storm compares to the iphone.

Right now, the only "catch" fee-wise for the iphone is the same as a Blackberry with AT&T--you are required to get a data plan. So the cost of owning an iphone is simply your chosen voice plan plus $30/month for the unlimited data.

I wish there was an option to not have the unlimited data, since I'm in wifi range 95% of the time. But I have found that when I'm out of wifi range I use it a lot--as a GPS, to look up a store or location, or to compare prices when I'm at a store.

I spend about 80 bucks after tax for mine, and I have the lowest plan offered. I believe it is 450 anytime with rollover..5000 nights/weekends, unlimited data and your whole bag full of other stuff. I don't think it's really that bad for what you get. I love it.

My wife and I have a shared plan with 1400 anytime minutes, and I have an iPhone. I think we pay $120 with AT&T. I switched because it's cheaper than Sprint and I could get an iPhone. We're paying the same now as with did with Sprint a year ago, and now we have more minutes and an iPhone :)

Chuck,
it's a shame you finally had to get one of these things! I don't have the Storm, it's just too new for me to jump on it just yet. I still have and love my 8800...and you're right, it's not really easy to navigate BOTL on a 'berry...not my preferred method of surfing, but ok if you reallllly have to -

Still glad to hear you have something from the 21st Century!

I've been wondering if I should go the traditional route and get a Bold or splurge on the Storm.. I like touch screen phones have been a big fan of the Sony Ericsson P910i and currently own the P1i. From what I hear the Storm seems to lag a bit. So just wondering what any BB users who recently have switched over to the Storm have to say for it.
