It's a split level house, 4 floors but not in the traditional sense. The basement and kitchen are on one side of the house and the living romm/garage and the bedrooms are on the other level. Does that make sense?

I'm confused now and it's my house!

yeah it sound like a trad quad level. so it only has 1 stair stringer in which case my idea most likely wont work for you.

It did accomplish one thing though, my ife thought I was crazy for wanting a urinal in the basement. After I showed her this thread she was really surprised by the votes & comments.

It doesn't matter what the situation is here at home (job wise that is), a urinal is going in next month as planned. We are going to use her maintenance guys from work and a recycled urinal from the old Pepsi Colliseum so the actual costs out of pocket is only going to be some pipes & a couple of 6-packs.:applause:

Glad you're gonna be able to do it -- but are you sure you want to put your office into a bathroom? Especially if your guest drink to excess . . . .
