I'm just wondering what is the appropriate temp/humidity ratio for my hummi. I have a digital thermo hygrometer in it. I prefer keeping it at about 65%. I have my humidor in a cool spot in the room. Away for windows, heating vents, & direct sunlight.

Pretty much personal preference there, of course the internet says 70/70. Most tend to vary from that a bit, mines in the basement so temps are always right at 66 degrees and my RH varies top to bottom of the cabinet from 68-67%. Keep them where you feel they smoke the best, anywhere between 60-70% will be fine and not hurt your cigars.

over 70 is time to start correcting the issue. I like 65/65, but as long as I don't go over 70 degrees I'm happy.

Try to stay below 70 degrees, above that and the chances of mold or beetles increase dramatically. There are MANY great threads on these subjects on the site.

Well yes, but any suggestions how?
Shouldn't be that hard in Jersey this time of year:grin:. Try to find a spot in the room as far away from heat vents/sources. Or find another room that may be a little cooler to put your box in. You definitely would like to be on the lower side of 70 degrees.

Well I share a house so they keep the heat up. I moved it to a better spot. I'm kinda limited on the room situation. I'm a little over 70 now. I think maybe with a little time in its new spot will cool it off?
