Just do yourself a favor and get a french press and never look back. As long as you have a good grinder it's better than even the most expensive drip machine plus you can get one for about the price of that filter. Just my 2 cents.

I've got no clue what a French press even is! I want easy though too, I like my coffee, not addicted like I am to the leaf, but in the end, I want the process to be easy with minimal clean up.

Interesting, I just Googled it and read up on it on Wikipedia.

that was like $30 from costco. It's also nice to have an electric kettle to heat the water but you can boil the water on the stove.
You just put the ground coffe in the french press, add boiling water, give it a stir and let it steep for 4-6 mins. Then you push down the plunger on the french press and pour.
It gives you complete control over all the variables that are out of your control with an automatic machine.

Well then provided it's the right size, I'd grab one. The coffee machine at work uses that and cleanup is a breeze and we don't have to keep buying those damn filters. I need to get one for home... $18 seems a bit steep though.

Cheapest I found online was $15, for $3 more I'd buy it from one of our sponsors in a heartbeat!
I was just unaware they cost that much... Worth it though in my opinion.
:waving: Yes, it will fit all standard 10 cup coffee makers that use basket type filters (rather than cone, that's a different filter).
They make great coffee since there is no paper filter to absorb any of the oils that are part of the natural flavor. You can get a little "mud" in your cup with these. We just call that 'body'
As for the price, that or a little more is pretty much the going price on this model of genuine SwissGold filter. They had a sizeable price increase earlier this year. The 10-cup cone jumped like $12 from what it used to be.
The KF10 didn't jump as much but it appears that it has been discontinued since it's not showing up on their wholesale site. I have four of them left in stock.
There are other brands of permanent filters that are made of gold colored stainless steel screen mesh. By all rights, they should do the same thing as SG's since the stainless is flavor nuetral (the reason that SG uses 23k gold plating) and they perform the same way by holding back the solids and letting the flavor be carried through with the water. I've tried both side by side and for some reason the SG gives a better cup of coffee. I really can't explain why. I will say that it's not because I sell them. I sell them because I've been using them myself for probably over 15 years now and I feel they're the best filter out there.

I did red and green mugs last year with the Christmas logo and they were very popular in the gift boxes. My mug supplier didn't offer any christmassy colors this year and I was running so far behind on getting the gift items together I decided to just use the classic black mug and the travel mugs. Next year I plan to be better prepared.
I just got something in yesterday that was supposed to be here much earlier. It's not Feliz NaviDog but it's a pretty cool Black Dog Coffee candle. They're in Irish Coffee mugs and are brown gel to look like coffee, with white wax on top to look like frothed milk. Cafe au lait scented. I ordered them ages ago and they just got here....too late for Christmas shoppers.
