Got to spend Christmas with my entire extended family on Whidbey Island off the coast of Seattle (great time to pick this place with the storms). Some of these folks I have not seen in over 20 years. It has been an absolute blessing to get this time with them. We are all here unfortunately to spend what will most assuredly be the last Christmas with my aunt who is battling terminal cancer. Pray for her if you get a chance. Glad to see everyone got such great gear.

I got to spend 4 days with my kids and their families. Made and ate two huge batches of chocolate chip cookies, and yesterday smoked six racks of ribs for Christmas dinner. Going to swing through South Dakota and visit my Mom on my way home. Good trip.

My Dad was stationed on Whidbey Island during the Korean War. It is a beautiful place although you guys are getting pounded snow wise. Prayers for your Aunt.

Wow! Sounds like you guys made a haul! Nothing for me (just one of those years) but I have some good job leads and and a gig comming up. :guitar:
I'm with you this year. The only Christmas present this year was in my lay-off packet. With my time of service, my family medical insurance is good for a year instead of 6 months. To be honest I couldn't ask for anything better!

Great attitude, sometimes piece of mind is better than anything material, best of luck bro!

Like many of you I have to smoke outdoors and the winter months pose a challenge to our pleasure. My sons and I gather around a kerosene heater in the garage in these months. Not great, but it gets the job done. On Christmas morning my eldest son came in with a huge wrapped box. I saved it to open for last after everyone had opened theirs. Imagine my surprise and jubilation when I tore off the wrap to reveal one of these:

Amazing. I fired it up last night on the driveway and it was great. I think it will be even better in the garage with the big door partially down. Merry Christmas to me! I have awesome kids.

I got the same one on my patio, it's awesome.

I didn't get myself anything this year. I am trying to safe up some cash to take Nicolle to Tahiti in spring if possible and also I am trying to figure out if I want a sports car, I am really digging the new BMW M3 convertible. I really really want one so bad, but I have 2 cars, a Dodge Ram for woodworking and home remodel and a Jeep Wrangler as my takingthedogstothebeach car.

My side of the Family was lite this year. Some small tokens like a great travel bathroom bag. Plenty of cash, which is always the right color and never gets returned.:applause:

The kids were really into it this year, so that was great. My son got his first bicycle, and my daughter got an easal and a big art set she had been wanting. For me? not too much, but I did get a $100 starbucks card. I think I can get at least 4 or 5 cups of coffer with that. Some new sandals, T-shirts, and socks. I LOVE new socks. I won $40 in a $10 buy in poker game with the family. I also love flopping the Full House against 2 people holding Flushes.. hehe. Check ..call....Check ..call..check RAISE ALL IN.. They call....hahahahahaha
MY SS got me a great bottle of Boubon and an amazing selection of cigars and then my cousin got me a bottle of Jack Daniels Single Barrel. While Jack is not my favorite, the Single Barrel is tasty.
