Wade, have you thought off insulating the wires and connectors?
A way to know if thicker wire is needed is if the wire feels hot when the fans are running. That's how they came from Avallo.
The overheating issue. The system came with the four canisters and four additional fans, in addition to that, I hooked up two more fans, one of which I recently unplugged. I've no idea what the power supply is from the control unit, but I thought those computer type fans didn't take much juice to begin with. The wiring is very thin for sure, would a heavier gauge wire help?
Bigger is always better but with the low voltage I doubt it would solve the problem. That's how they came from Avallo.

Naw, good thinkin', but it's in the basement, always at 63-66 degrees.Where do you keep your humidor? It could be because of that too... like, do you keep it in a place where theres a lot of heat? or close to the kitchen?
Agreed, Bob's thread put my mind at ease.Fascinating thread this is. I've seen nothing like this Wade, but the comments Bob and Arlin made make sense.
My cigars smoke great...final conclusion!:dunno:I'd like to know your final conclusion.
Well, the cedar is 3/8 thick on the walls and ceiling, and 3/4 on the floor! So I guess that would help explain it as well. The thicker the wood the more available sap to ooze.
:halfgrinw I built that cabinet!I actually think it's a testament to how good the circulation is in our cabinets.
