Got the wife a Wii for Christmas and we love it.

As I need to lose, oh about 40 or 50 lbs. I was thinking of getting Wii Fit.

Anyone have it? Opinions?

Its fairly good and frustrating to start with. Its great for getting you into a routine and since you can monitor your progress on tv I guess its extra motivation to get into shape. You can set weight loss goals as in how much weight you want to loose in a certain amount of time and it will help you keep track of your progress. The one positive thing I find about the Wii Fit is that whomever uses it tends to get into a routine of doing some kind of physical activity on a daily basis.

I have the Wii, yet haven't gotten or played the Wii Fit. But me workout seems enough to keep me weight leveled (I eat everything).

I have one, I rarely use it, I would try one if you can. My main issue is it takes twice as long to do the exercises with it, there is too much lag and BS between exercises. A 30 minute workout that you do on the Wii will take 45minutes. It would be better if they had a way to set up a routine that just did one workoout after another for you.

my good friend has a wii fit, it's pretty cool. I don't think it can replace cardio for weight loss, but it's a fun supplement and I've considered buying a wii just to get it.
