I just found out last night that my wife is pregnant for the first time! :applause: We just got married in October and moved to California in November and now we'll be having our first child. It was totally unexpected and I was in complete shock all last night. We would have liked to have waited until we were a little more financially stable but that's life. Anyway, I'm super excited and a little freaked out. I'd love to hear from you guys about your experiences too.

Fantastic news. Congrats. It is a wonderful, scary, heartwrenching road that I would not have missed for anything.

Don't worry about the financial part of it, that really doesn't get hard till they get in high school/college. The first dozen years or so are a breeze and a blast, and we had five of them! Congratulations to both you and your wife.

Congrats, whats the celebratory smoke going to be!
Wow, I hadn't even thought of that yet. My stash has been dwindling lately and with the baby on the way I may be waiting a while to replenish it but I might have to splurge just this once. :halfgrinw

I think I'm in for quite an adventure and probably could never really be prepared for it.

Wade, I hope you're right. I just didn't envision things being quite this tight when we started our family.

Thanks to all of you for your support! It's nice to know a bunch of you guys have gone through it and are still here to talk about it. :crosseyed

Congratulations, do you want a boy or girl? What about the wife?
I guess I would have to say I would slightly prefer a boy but I wouldn't be dissapointed at all with a girl. I think it's human nature to want a child that's your gender. I think I have a better grasp of how the male mind works and don't think I'll ever understand the female mind. :dunno:

I'm going through it right now. My little boys are two weeks old today. I'm tired, but having a blast!
