Hey Everyone!

I am starting this thread to ask for your help. On February 7, 2009, I have committed to grin and “bear” it for the athletes of Special Olympics by taking a chilly dip into the water alongside hundreds of other warm-hearted people.

I know----you’re probably getting cold just thinking about! But the cold that I will feel is temporary…the positive impact this will have on the lives of thousands of children and adults with intellectual disabilities will last a lifetime.

I have set a personal fundraising goal of $1,000 and I need your help to reach it! I am asking for your donation to Special Olympics on behalf of me taking the 2009 KY-OH Polar Bear Plunge. Any amount would be appreciated—it all goes to a wonderful cause, and every little bit gets me that much closer to my goal. I am also looking for others to join our Plunge team, or those who would just like to come and show their support (you know… provided you live in the area).

In order to support my Plunge, please visit http://events.soky.org/site/TR/Events/PolarBearPlunges?px=1063842&pg=personal&fr_id=1090 which will take you to my personal fundraising page and it will give you the option of making a donation online via credit or debit card.

If you prefer mail, you can make a check payable to “Special Olympics” and return it to me at 790 Edgemount Ct, Edgewood, KY 41017.

If you want to learn more about this wacky winter event, visit www.doky.org or www.sooh.org to find out all the chilly details. Think warm thoughts for me as February approaches. I will do my best to “Be the Bear” and make my supporters proud!

Thanks guys!!!!

Gregg

You wanna take the plunge, do it here in WI on New Years Day. That's freakin' cold, did it once, will never do it again. I got 18 stitches in my leg from a floating piece of ice.
