I went to my local B&M at lunchtime today to pick up some supplies for a forthcoming bomb I am preparing. Upon entering the store I was informed that Daryl, an employee of the store had passed away on Tuesday from a heart attack. He was only 46. He had suffered a stroke early last year and was recovering fairly well from that. He wasn’t working but you could almost always find him at the store. At first he had trouble speaking and getting his thoughts together but that had improved tremendously. I just saw him 2 weeks ago at a Christmas party at the store and asked him when he’d be back to work. He answered soon. He had other health problems including high blood pressure and from what I was told he was slacking off on his meds.

This guy was built like a brick sh*t house before the stroke and over the year lost a lot of size but still looked healthy.

I usually buy singles and when I first really started getting into cigars he helped me a lot, guiding me in the right direction when I didn’t know what to look for or what I wanted. Over many years of knowing him he helped me acquire a taste for some fine cigars and even recently got me to smoke some good sticks that I probably wouldn’t have even tried. He was a good guy and the last time I saw him I left him laughing. He will be greatly missed.

I'm sorry for yer loss, Rick; but thankfully ye met him and he guided ye with what would become a passion for ye. PM if ye need anything.

What a shame. We've lost a few guys from our shop and it's like losing a family member. We'll keep you in our prayers Rick.

Good story about a person who impacted your life for sure. This should be a reminder for all of us just how precious life is,,relationships should be taken care of because we are not guaranteed tomorrow.

Death does not descriminate. There is a song I learned when I was younger that I try to go by called Too Old To Die Young. May your friends memory live on in your mind and in your heart. To lose someone close to you is a pain best left unfelt. My condolences to you bro!
