I've gain so much of my cigar knowledge here and from books and such that I find my self not knowing how to pronounce many things. Couple I learned the answers to just today were:
Xikar = ZyKar
Palio = Pal-E-O
At least that was what I was told.
Anybody got words they are curious about?
Good stuff from various posts here:
All Vowels are always pronounced the same way in Spanish, so:
A= ah
E= ey
I= EE
O=oh
u= oo
Pepin = Peh-peen
Viaje = Vee-ah-heh
Anejo = Ah-nee-eh-hoh (Añejo is hard, because of the ñ)
Cojonu = Coh-hoh-noo
Oscoro = Os-coo-roh
Robusto = Roh-boos (like booze)-toe OR It's not ruh-bust-o it's ruh-boost-o
Por Larrañaga = Poor Lawr-r-r-r-r-en-yah-ga
Criollo = Cree-oyo
Bathroom = Baños = ban-yos
La Riqueza = la ree-ke-za
El Triunfador = el Tree oon fa door
Missouri = Missor-e, Some down south call it Missor-a, Misery is just used as a slam
Tatuaje = Tah-too-ah-heh
Xikar = ZyKar
Palio = Pal-E-O
At least that was what I was told.
