Hey everyone! Well I'm new to this forum but certainly not new to cigars. So I'm a senior college student (and just got into Physical Therapy school woot woot!!) and made the fatal mistake of buying a 15 cigar humidor...

Long story short, I like to make an event out of smoking cigars each time I do it and as I result I've collected more sticks than I've smoked and the humidor is of course full along with two medium-sized humidor bags. I reall really like small cabinet humidors and I think it's the logical next step especially considering that I still live in a small dorm room and I think I discovered the perfect humidor for me, the Vector HM-404. Since I'm new I can't post a link yet...

I was just wondering if anyone on this forum has any experience with Vector humidors or even this model? I just want to make sure I'll be getting my money's worth. Thanks!

p.s. I'll post pics of my small stoogie collection soon!

Welcome to the site. stop by the intro forum and say hi. As far as your humi goes. In you stuation I would get a big tupperware container and some heartfelt beads and you'll be good. it's called a tupper-dor. This can be kept anywhere and will cost less and hold more smokes. I know you thin it hold 60-75 smokes, but theat really means 40-50. I started with the small 15 count a year and a half ago and now have a 28 bottle wine cooler filled with boxes. It's a slippery slope, enjoy the ride.

thanks for suggestion! I'll definitely check that out but at the same time I would like to have the humidor be a display piece if possible (even if it's for my own personal enjoyment). There really does seem to be a science to the amount of money people spend on this hobby:grin:

yo bull, good to have another college kid on here. Im in college too and i know exactly what you mean by you started out with a small humi, i started out with a humi bag. I wanted to buy a nice 50-75 count humi but then was persuaded by the brothers here to go with a tupperdor.( check out my profile ive got a pic of it, if you want to get an idea) cost me about 15 bucks with the humidification and all. it hold humidity great. i naturally went on a little spree at the cigar shop after savin that money. but thats just my 2 cents.
OH! go tell us alittle about yourself and what you like to smoke.

yes, college 'brothers' unite! I saw the tupper-dor, very sweet! Quick question, how do you put pics on your profile? I need to show off my 'bar'. Take care!

p.s. I discovered cigar bid a few months back, that's how I procured 5 of those Aurora Preferidos for less than $30 shipped. Now those God of Fire cigars on the other hand....very cut throat bidding. I just don't see how they could be worth the trouble, I guess It's just the thrill of the chase

Exactly.
Get a cooler, beads, hygrometer... spend your savings on more cigars.

Stick around here for a month & you'll be throwing out that Vector...
