I wouldn't say wrong; more likely different. I use 1 of the small tray cubes which is the perfect size to avoid diluting too much, but it still opens up the bouquet (With scotch I use a tad of water)

I can agree with different. It actually depends on what I'm drinking. For some bourbons I need ice because they're just too potent while with Zacapa and Zaya I don't use ice since I really enjoy the dark rum profile. Matusalem is a toss up and it really just depends on how warm it is outside. In the warmer months I want to have a cold drink but right now everything I drink has been neat because it's cold enough here as it is :smokingbo

Yeah, the distilled cubes are good if you are like me and hate the taste of the city water. Ours is super chlorinated because of a hurricane that hit a few years ago and messed up the drinking water supply. It's also nice to look at since the only other way to get clear ice is to buy one of those expensive commercial ice makers.

Ahh yes Moro, Jameson! Have you tried Balvenie 12 double wood? Amazing! Has some nice honey notes. Not smoky at all.

I use water filtered with activated charcoal to get rid of the tap water stench, as well as sand filter and rock filter.
