I have seen some discussion about storage of sticks and beads, paks and gels. Has anyone found an accurate Hygrometer. I have 70% Humidy beads and 72% Boveda pack and my hygrometer states 65%. Not that I am complaining but how accurate are these digital hygrometers anyway?:halfgrinw

There are hygros that you can calibrate, They are available at our sponsors. Once your hygro is reading the humidity it will fluctuate accuratly, it just may not show the correct RH. it sounds like you are %5 low. So if it reads 60% you'll acctually be at 65%. Mine is the same, but consistant, so I just remember the difference and do the math.

You need to calibrate it. Also you only have one Boveda pack to what size humi? I'm pretty sure you should have more than one pack in there.

Our sponsors do have some nice one's that are adjustable.

The 70% beads when fully charged in a smaller area might make it to 70% but most times will come up a few percentage points lower. Anywhere between 65-68% you are golden, don't sweat it.

1 tbsp salt 1 bottle top 5 or 6 drops dis water (until wet not slushy). 12hrs at room temp in a sealed plastic baggie. Hyrgro should read 75% RH now you know your hygro accuracy. Mine are done every 4 or 5 months. 1 spot on 1two or three pts off . Always the same readings though. Even if you have analog most are adjustable w a screw in the back.

Thanks Guys. AJ never heard of the one u talked about. In the 100 ct box there are three boveda pks. thats is what is suggested. Anyway the last couple of days the 50ct humi has been at 65% and the 100 ct at 66%. Not bad if they stay that way.

Just make sure your box was seasond correctly & that you gages are calibrated. Also I've heard that the amount of sticks in the humi may play a part in this as well.
