My question is I collect a lot of amazon gift credit through cashing it coins. I have about $80 worth of amazon credit and was thinking I could spend $30 - 60 on beads for this thing or I could do something like the cigar oasis or the hydra both which are offered on amazon.com. So my question is what do you think would be the best or would it even fit inside this vinotemp. My out of pocket expensive wouldn't be to much and I'd rather send that money over to MTmouse to make me some spanish cedar cabinets for this thing.

I would start with Heartfelt Beads. Worry about a Hydra if you really need it after using the humidor

Thanks Ron, the reason I'm so paranoid is lately the beads I've been using have been drying out really fast, about 1 day. The tupperdor I have is holding strong. So I'm really worried about the vinotemp having adequate RH.

Get a pound of beads and that should be more than enough(1/2 pound most likely would work too from your dimensions above), this time of year beads dry up quickly when running the heat in your house. My room humidity is around 40% wheras in the summer it is near 60%.

i would think that the vini should be airtight, so losing moisture should not be a concern. with temp swings, regulating humidity will be the issue. plenty of beads spread real thin will be the answer
