same here, my boxer was the best dog that I ever owned. smart, loyal, protective of the family, and he loved kids. Kids could maul him, and he would not react badly. You could stick your head into his food bowl while he was eating, and he would look at you funny, get pissed off, and just eat faster so you couldnt get all his food. he was great.Man to be honest if I wanted to get a dog today I'd probably go for a boxer again, they're adorable and great around the house. Not that my pitbulls aren't but Caesar (my boxer who died around 5 years ago) was like a son to me he was by far the best dog I've ever had.
Man that brings back a lot of memories.. for as hyper and active as Caesar was he was equally lazy. If I ever tried getting him to do something while he napped he would open an eye, shut it and go back to his snoring ways.same here, my boxer was the best dog that I ever owned. smart, loyal, protective of the family, and he loved kids. the Johnson is a bigger, heavier, huskier type look to the dog. a little more fierce lo0king.So you planning on getting the Jhonson type or the Scott?

the Scott is a little lighter and more athletic looking. the Scott seems to have a little more history on fighting other dogs. while not as big as the Johnson, the Scott appears to be a better, more agile fighting dog.
That is one of my considerations. these days there seems to be more and more loose dogs. while I love Pits, these days, there seems to be an epidemic of pits that have been abandoned by owners and running loose. I have actually seen a couple of packs of dogs not far from where I live.
I can handle a human who wants to break into my house, but i want a dog who can handle any 4 legged creature.
my neighborhood has no problems as of now, but you never know. as this economy worsens, you will see more stray dogs, and more importantly, more crime commited by human animals. Its nice to hear a civilized conversation about our bully breeds, society is so hyped up on their own B.S. when it comes to these outstanding animals. Good luck to yeah Ron, I myself preffer the scotty types, but i have a biase, I grew up with American staffordshires. Eitherway I hope nothing comes of the neighborhood "free roamers".
Best of luck to you:thumbsup:
same deal here. my boxer was BIG. Plumber came over to my house. he had to go in the back yard. my boxer was out there, and he came running over to play. the plumbers 2 words were "Oh Shit". I laughed. An American Bulldog would be a cool dog to have. If I were to get another dog it would be one that I would look into. As mentioned I can't picture to many people wanting to break into your house with one of them around.
One of my friends had a Boxer and it was a good dog too. A little jumpy but very friendly and playfull. Seems like people who do not know much about dogs and Boxers fear them too. One time when I was over at my friends the mail man spotted us in the garage working on my car and decided to walk the mail up to him. All of a sudden he spotted the boxer and froze up with a scared look on his face. My friend told him it was okay. He gave him the mail and got out of their quickly.
Congo.. he was a great parrot got stolen during my wedding had a HUGE vocabulary HUGE!sorry, but i had to ask, Daniyal thats an african grey on your shoulder is it not, what type Timm or congo? I also have a long history and huge fondness of parrots.:flying:
Man a talking bird apprently is quite the novelty... people will pay a lot of money for them and I guess money motivates all.Somebody stole your grey? thats horrible, I am sorry bro. Who steals a mans bird, goddamn people are dumb. You know what we had all better do like Ron said and get something to stop the human animals in the neighborhood... Well put Ron.
Thanks for the helpBest of luck Ron! I can't find a website for them anywhere, but here is a good place to start looking if you want to look down here:
