Thunder Snow

OK, the last time I checked South Carolina was in the freakin SOUTH!
It started snowing yesterday afternoon and we woke up to about 6” this morning. Yeah I know that’s not a lot but for down here it is. The snow doesn’t bother me because I’m used to driving in it from before we moved down here but the roads got slushy over night and then froze in the early morning causing a lot of black ice. I hate that shit.
Anyway yesterday was my youngest daughters’ B’day and the kids had fun playing in the snow, building a snowman and all that stuff. She really enjoyed it snowing on her B’day.
Around 9:00 pm it was pretty cool, it started to thunder and lightning while it was snowing. They refer to it as thunder snow. Pretty cool to watch. Tonight the low is supposed to be 19 so what ever melts is going to freeze again if it does dry up. Usually by the beginning of March it’s too warm for this shit. It will be in the low 70’s by Friday or Saturday.

And it's the opposite in Arizona, record breaking highs all over the state. I was amazed to here on the radio this morning how cold it is back east. It got up to 86 yesterday in Phoenix (not the record) and 88 in other parts of the state. I had to turn on the A/C in the house.

It's been well documented that I hate snow, however we had thunder/lightning snow here last week too, it is neat to watch that.

yea i hear ya rick, i hate this cold weather. we didnt get snow in charleston but its pretty cold. I wish we got snow cause then my classes would have gotten canceled like the rest of the colleges in SC. Of course i was sure to call my freinds( who didnt have class today) at 5 am when i woke up....:nodlaugh:

Thundersnow is pretty neat. Lightning is a lot brighter than during a rain storm.

Got damn near a foot of snow here. I love to watch the people invade the supermarkets and buy all the bread and milk they can find like they are going to get snowed in for a month.

Yeah I saw that down at Buckroe Beach this morning when I left the house for work, traffic going to Norfolk was at a stand still due to wreck on the bridge going in to the tunnel, glad I was going the other way.

We are supposed to get up to maybe a high of 40 by Friday.

got about 8" in Athens, GA yesterday. Snowed for about 12 hours, lost power from 5:30 last night until about midnight. Supposed to be 70s on Saturday

Global Warming??? The Democrat playbook says it's only Global Warming when it's hot out. Any other weather is "Climate Change".
