the Johnson is a bigger, heavier, huskier type look to the dog. a little more fierce lo0king.

the Scott is a little lighter and more athletic looking. the Scott seems to have a little more history on fighting other dogs. while not as big as the Johnson, the Scott appears to be a better, more agile fighting dog.

That is one of my considerations. these days there seems to be more and more loose dogs. while I love Pits, these days, there seems to be an epidemic of pits that have been abandoned by owners and running loose. I have actually seen a couple of packs of dogs not far from where I live.

I can handle a human who wants to break into my house, but i want a dog who can handle any 4 legged creature.
True about the Pits. Someone abandoned a Pit puppy in my community. It ended up on my porch and would not leave. I had my best friend Tbone a Black Lab that was up in age and he asked me to let the Pit in. Connie has been with me for two years now and has become a great dog. Tbone has passed on and I still hurt from losing him. For me Labs are the best. Great around the family and very protective of the home. Though I am beginning to love Connie...... Well I'll just leave it like that.

Big problem around here. With people losing their houses Pitts are being abandoned left and right. Unlike the other breeds there are no rescue groups so they are being put down. Very, very sad. Such a beautiful animal but with a really bad rap.
