So this pup has been sitting in my Humi for over 2 years now and is the last of a 5 pack I procured. I figured now was as good a time as any so I commence to smoke it. I nipped the end with my trusty catseye and take a dry draw, a little tight but ok. I go ahead and light it up and immediately super sweet flavor comes through with a nutty front end. I can hardly stand it...this isn't the cc's tobacco I have come to know and love. Now I can barely stomach this this thing but I hang in there. I don't know how else to describe it but it was like smoking a candied pecan...yuk! I take it down 2/3's of the way and put it out. I don't remember the other 4 being this bad...they were tight in the draw and far less flavor which was a good thing compared to the aged one I was smoking now. The burn was even, lite of smoke, vitually veinless wrapper....looked like a nice little smoke...looks can be decieving. score 3 out of 10 (and that's only b/c it was a cc). :cryloud:

Uh oh. i got one of these a couple months back. it was described as a good morning smoke, so i kinda know what's in store with it.

Despite this review, i'm still excited to try it!!! it looks tasty!

At least that's what I think of them.

And age doesn't help...the '96 Cosacos I had tasted like old grass clippings mixed with hay. Maybe they provide it wrapped in tissue so that you can wipe your tongue after smoking one. Not my cup of tea....more for you guys!

I like Fonsecas with coffee in the morning. I get sweetness off of them, but not quite candied pecans. That's why they make a bunch of different cigars, we don't all like the same ones. Although there are way more that I like than ones I don't...

I found o2s and keep a box in my vino at all times. I find them easy draw ( most of the time) and a great AM smoke. Sorry about yours.

I'm not a fan of Fonsecas either...for a mild, morning cigar I'd much rather have a QdO.

I kinda like them but at the right time place and mood. Each to his own.

I've like the Fonsecas I've had so far. Bumer about this one.

I have to agree with these brothers a nice morning smoke and not a bad price. Sorry about your bad experience with this stick.
