I have question for all the brothers in Florida area. I'm in the process of setting up a Coolerdor, but during the summer it gets real warm down here( Bahamas). How well do Coolerdor workout in the warmer climate. Should I use beads or Hydra SM Humidifier at Heartfelt Industries or both. Any suggestions or should I junk it and go Wine Cooler one Time. I'm about to stockup for a rainy day but I want to be cetain that I have a good umbrella:help::help::cbig::cbig:

Is your place air conditioned all the time? If you're not keeping your temp at 70 or below you better get a wine cooler otherwise beads and a cooler are perfect IMHO.

I use a coolerdor setup with beads. I keep the house at 76-78 during the day and about 74-75 at night. Temp creeps up to about 74 during the hottest part of the day inside the coolerdor. I haven't had any problems, but I keep the humidty right at 65% to try and prevent any issues since the 74 degrees is a little warmer than I would like it to get in the coolerdor.

If you are worried about temps rising in a cooler you can always freeze your stick first. Then temp won't be an issue.

I personally Just got the Vinotemp 28 bottle unit with 2 pounds of 70% beads from Heartfelt and also got 2 oust fans. My Vinotemp is full . I will be buying another Vinotemp when they go on sale. It is the best thing I have ever bought for my cigars.

Take my advice....wine cooler. It was my only option and has been great
From another Island survivor right there...

I would say go with a wine cooler if you can afford it...
And as far as beads or active humidifier... Both.

I live in Miami... My humidor is in my room, not near windows... If I am home, the fan in my room is on (I'm sick in the head).
The house is at 72 night and day. My humidor is above 72, and gets to 74 sometimes. I'm gonna have a wine cooler up and running real soon!!!

I checked on a Wine Cooler today. Thanks brothers. I will order a pound of beads and the Humidifier. I want to stock-up on some boxes. I plan to visit Cuba in may and Miami in June/July.

I would think that in the area that you live that a winerdor would fit you best but thats up to you and your cost and the temp in which you keep your home. So with that being said take the time and think of the cost and with that , then think day the road what do you think you will need then. and go from there.

Oh, Don't forget to plug the drain hole if it has one... It could let unwanted humidity in.
