Total newbie. My local Lodge had a cigar night, and heck if I dinna like it! Brothers bestowed upon me a sampler box to get me going, so I am trying to "learn before I burn." Lots of reading to do (and still need to find a cutter).

Where around Boston do you live, we have quite a few brothers around New England. And what are some of your fav smokes so far?

Ha!

One of the elder brethren told me to forego whatever was being passed around the cigar night and took from a little metal cigar case "something nice."

I have no frame of reference (and do not even recall what the cigar he gave me was--but he was pretty proud of it): all I can say it was, well, pretty darn good!

So: we'll see what happens. Weather is turning nice, post-Lodge will likely be outside, so maybe I'll get a once-a-month, wife-sanctioned cigar opportunity.

So far, other than a few from friends (which I am saving), I have one of those Cigar.com sampler + humidor deals and a CAO Flavours sampler.
