Just remember they eat mice and such, so if you have snakes, you have snake food. One sure way to get rid of the snakes is to get rid of the snake food, but just getting rid of the snakes, you will leave lots of uneaten breeding snake food left behind.

Ho boy, yeah....I'm well aware that I have snake food. TONS of freakin' snake food. Besides the freakin' nesting finches, I've got a family of rats living in the garage. It's a detached unit away from the house, next to the woods, about 25 feet from the creek--I've never been able to keep the rats out of there. Of course, that's because it's full of crap. Guess if I cleaned it I could get rid of the rats. LOL

Don't feel bad.

Last Saturday while doing garden work, I was over by my basement window sill (drops down below grade).

I saw what I thought was a toad in there and shot under some rocks in the bottom of the well. Last year I rescued a couple of them.

So I bend down slowly to get the toad and lift the rock up..........whoa........a nest of freaking snakes. Lucky for me they were only garter snakes. There were at least 12. I figured any future toads would have good company down there.:bangbang:

You wont get all the snakes out as long as there is food available. You have everything there to sustain the circle of life, Food and water.
If there's as many rats and mice as you say around your home you can bet the snakes have been notifying their relatives. Let them stay and help clean up the vermin they'll just move on after the buffet is over.
