So I managed to get a herniated disc in my lower back couple thay with an existing degenerative disc and I'm completely crooked and incapable of walking. The doctors are forcing me to stay in bed for a week or so which blows even more cause I'm at a loss for what to do.

On a side note has anyone heard from Matt laetly?

Sorry to hear it -- although there's probably a joke somewhere about how a lawyer would be of more benefit in bed than in society. Get well soon.

Hey Dan,
This sucks I know and very painfull...I have 3...What my doctor did was send me to physical therapy which helped tremendously! Also going to the chiropractor and having the traction done...daily exercise and stretching was my ticket. I hope you get some relief! Take care of yourself!

Sorry to hear that. Been there, done that.

Herniated a disc in my lower back 10+ years ago. Worked through a week of pain and finally broke down and went to ER. Docs gave me a shot that made all pain go away and someone had to drive me home.

Lots of great pain meds, and anti-inflammatorys. Took a while to recover.

Enjoy the rest!:cbig:

Thank you for the well wishes guys been on bed rest for the last few days and light exercises the wife tries to keep me drugged up to lower the pain but that doesn't seem to help. Got my last shot of Decadron last night so the doc says have to wait and see how I feel when the effect of Decadron wears off. Though I am able to walk better now so I guess that's a blessing.

heck, come on over to missouri. i'm a PT, i'll take care of you!!
The wife is a chiropractor and initially was after her to adjust me to take the pain away but she seems to have a mental block when it comes to adjusting me so didn't get much relief but was put on some PT to ease the pain. Changed my mattress even though it was just 8 months old maybe that will make a bit of a difference.. wish I could get a tempurpedic here that would be awesome!
