Hello all!

I've been lurking on the board for a few months and was waiting to join/introduce myself until I was settled in the new house/state.

My wife and I actually just moved from AZ to IL (St Charles/Elgin border for any IL folks) about a month ago, and so far we love the change!

I keep talking to my old friends in AZ hearing its 105-110 degrees while I am relaxing on the patio with a cocktail and cigar in a nice cool 65.... (of course come winter I'll get the crappy end of the deal!)

I am 26 and work as a Business Analyst for a major retailer in the area (I am sure the locals can guess which one...) and the reason for our move was for some additional schooling for me; I will be starting MBA courses at the University of Chicago in the fall.

I am relatively new to the world of cigars (last few years but smallish # of sticks smoked) and have developed a strong passion/respect for the craftsmanship and work that goes into creating a truly phenominal cigar.

For me there is nothing quite like looking forward to the nights (or weekends) stick and going through the pre-light, and smoking rituals. It is the physical expression of the emotional ideal that the days work has ended, and now is the time to decompress, and reflect on the nearly ended day or week.

Team that with a nice Bourbon or Whisky, some conversation among friends (new and old) and I am about as happy as I get.

I am hoping that by joining the community I can learn more about one of my favorite activites and form friendships with those who share my passion.

Outside of Cigars the majority of my time is spent relating to automobiles (racing/tuning/restoring) photography (fine art and motorsports) or some sort of fabricating/tinkering.

So I thank you for taking the time to read this and for accepting me into the community.

-Brian
