I don't know, maybe it's the economy. but I have gotten boatload of spam in my e-mail these past few weeks. In all of my accounts. I actually was convinced that the ISP's had gotten a handle on this. I guess I'm naive.

My spam filter runneth over too. I agree there has been a marked increase in spam lately.

There are always a few that get through the filters and it seems I've been getting at least one a day from a bank in Hong Kong wanting to give me money from someone who died, all I have to do is email them back or send them my address.....haha. Almost always the same type of deal just names are different each time.

It's very weird, my all of the 5 active accounts we have on our office server just started getting about 2 spam messages a day that make it through our filters. They're all from the "Canadian Pharmacy" selling perscription pills. Also, every one of them says the sender is some random address but the name associated with that address is whoever's email it was sent to. Very odd that it makes it through our filters. Nothing else like this does.
An example of what I'm saying is that the spam is from JoeBlow@dtgoi.com with the name of Jon Smith associated with it when it's being sent to Jon Smith's email address of Jon@workemail.com

IF the ISPs ever do take care of it, it will be only for a short period of time. If there are new laws against it, the wording will change and the spam will still come! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
