Looking for empty ammo brass

Hey guys, I am looking for a fist full of empty brass. Only problem is I'm not sure what I am looking for. I woul like to give them to my father who in return wants to make pipe tampers with the base of the brass. I was thinking like a .338 mag, or slightly larger diameter brass. It doesn't have to be rifle brass it could be a hand gun brass. It need to be a larger diameter base to be a tamper for pipes.

If anyone has recomendations for me I would greatly appreciate it. If anyone has spare empty brass I will buy them. Thanks bro's.

If you haven't checked local small town gunshops your next stop would be large online retailers like midway or cabelas. Then if places like that are out you can always look at www.gunbroker.com because assholes that buy the stuff up at stores are always selling it by auction on the site. Last time I walked into Cabelas/Gander Mtn they had very little in the way of brass pretty much all they had was for .500 S&W. Which should work for you. Now as for getting free fired stuff just go to the local gun range man. I bet there's tons of it laying around there I don't take mine home, I just pick it up and drop it in the trash. Glock .40 brass from what I'm told is not good for reloading.

Actually I was looking to buy a handful from a brother, I just needed sugestions towards a good caliber to use. Again I'm looking for empty brass, to make into pipe tampers. Not for reuse or reloading.

I'll check at the Academy but the Inspector keeps a pretty tight hold on everything.

Shoot me a PM. I have, or can "make" you some empty brass in .308, .223, .40 or 9mm (I'm assuming you don't want .22).
