I got a sampler a couple weeks ago and I had one last week. Good cigar, a bit young. I agree with atroodon, these should age pretty good. How it compares to a Padron? Couldn't tell you, I haven't had a Padron in about 4 years. For 2 bucks a piece I think it would be worth the effort to buy some and age them if you are buying on a low budget.
