While my 12 bottle vinotemp has been rock stable for a long time, during the storms, winter etc. However recently it started freaking out reading about 76% I have the hygrometers in a calibration kit right now. I left the door open to see if they would let some of the humidity out for 2 hours and it droped. I closed it up and checked back an hour later and it was still in the 70s. I checked to see if their was water dripping inside and there was none. I checked the beads and less than half were clear. I even took them out and it was still up. Anyone ever run into this problem? :dunno:

if your cooling has been running more than normal, this will happen. as air cools, relative humidity goes up

While I calibrated them and it went back to normal however my temp control only goes up to 66 which is a bummer. My RH is back up to 73% though. Is there a better way to get this extra RH out? I put a over a pound of RH beads in there which are all white and it's still high. Right now I have the door open hoping it will dry out some.

a Johnson temp controller will enable to you raise your temp to 70 degrees. from my experience, this should drop your humidity a few %. Please remember that the results are from my experience, but i cant guarantee that it will work
