Was reading on the NUB forum that Sam had a new project in the works and that it would be announced in the next edition of CA.

Well it just arrived and it's a new line of all ligero cigars called "Cain."

www.caincigars.com but the site does not work...

Thoughts, secret info, word on the street?

Sounds very interesting, if Sammy is behind it you can bet it will be a damn good cigar!

I'd like to win that Big Bear Chopper!

The Oliva rep told me today that it was CAIN and it was 100% ligero but not super harsh as one would expect.

so, it's gonna be a chubby cheroot????
Litto's ligero is top notch, I'm not sure I would even want to compare the two. Dave got me so hooked on these it's unreal.

It will be interesting to see...

Thermonuclear - Tat
Cheroot - LFD
Cain - Oliva

Can't wait to try one, not let's see who I have to beat up to get one early.

It was my understanding that the "Cain" would be available in four sizes....I do not believe it will be a Nub.

Talking about no comparisions, CAO LX2 doesn't even compare to Litto's single ligero cigars, in my opinion!

Sam was twittering about this a while back, said it was the strongest cigar he'd EVER smoked. I'm looking forward to it as well.

You can bet that if Oliva has anything to do with the "Cain" (and they do) it will be top notch ligero!

Traditional sizes. From Nublive.com:

Hello Gang,

Well, the Cigar Aficionado AD hit the streets a little earlier this month than I had anticipated.

I will be launching a new brand of cigars that will be available as soon as August.

This new line of cigars will come in traditional sizes. This is nothing like the Nub line, and really not like any other.

The Name is Cain.

Cain is a blend of Straight Ligero Tobaccos from various parts of Nicaragua. The Ligero is Triple fermented to give the cigar a balance and smoothness not easily found in Ligero.

This cigar will be FULL bodied. It is the most complex cigar I have ever smoked.

I will give more details in the days ahead.

Ligero, now we are talking! I have smoked some other double and tripple ligeros and really like them. Looking forward to this release to try also.

out there
I like Oliva cigars, but I have a hard time imagining that they would put out "the strongest cigar" someone has ever smoked. They aren't really known for their powerhouse smokes. You hear all the time about all Ligero blends that are supposed to be ass kickers and they always fall short of the hype, i.e. the CAO America (I know, it's CAO so it was predictable). Litto seems to be one of the very few who can make a real asskicker.
