Over done Palate

Has anyone ever had there palate over stimulated? I am unable to taste flavors. I think that I should stop smoking for a while inorder to get my palate back. I have no cold or sinus problems. Has this happened to anyone before:dunno:

Happens to me Dr.D. At least twice a summer. Slow your ass down Sir Smoke-a-lot!

Give it a three day break. That usually does it for me. If you can go for a week your golden.

After that smoke an Artista. It is the magic remedy.

Never has happened to me. perhaps it's because i smoke 1 cigar a day, at the most, 4 times a week. And that's a lot for me.

I plan to stop for a couple of days. thanks Diesel. Shmear I only smoke one a day but thats everyday. So I think Diesel is right. I need a break. Let my Humi do some work and age those sticks while I get my palate back

Happens regularly with lots of cigar smokers. Take a break for a couple days. That should take care of it.

One other thing, check the humidity levels in your humidors. As the weather goes from cold to warm, the humidity level changes inside your house as well as outside. This can sometimes affect your humidors. I love my cigars at 62% in summer, but find in the winter I need to go up a little because the heat in the house dries the air. This winter I let my cigars get as high as 67%. It's made a huge difference in flavor.

Don't know if thats exactly what happens to me but there are times when I just can't stand the tatse of any cigar....only happens "once in a blue moon" though, thank goodness!

Usually 12-24 hours works for me and then it's back to 4/6/8 a day again!

I had it happen once. But now I smoke one to two sticks a week so I'm all good. It also helps your stash out too.

It happened to me when I first started smoking...but lately I've got some super taster. I can smoke all day and still taste stuff.

Like everyone else said, give it a couple days off and you'll be good to go again.:thumbsup:
