Hey Everyone! Just got word from the boss I will be attending the RTDA show in New Orleans on August 8th - 12th! I will be loading up on the "samples".

I went to Vegas a couple of years ago, believe when I tell you it's like Christmas, your birthday and winning the lottery all rolled into one!

Pace yourself, if you don't you won't even get to see half of what's there....and you will get "ton's" of sample of everything you can imagine!

Always a fantastic time. I think it might just be my perfect cigar trip. I've not been to Cuba, but even more so than Honduras or Nicaragua, IPCPR/RTDA trips are the perfect combination of life and cigars. So many restaurants, vendors, citizens are just so happy that you're there, that it feels as if there is nothing or no one fighting against cigar smokers in this world. Perfect...

Samples are going to be slim this year and maybe even next....The state of Louisiana wants to charge us all Tobacco Tax on all the samples. They make it hard for us to do work.....

Congrats on the trip. Luckily, it's not a long trip. The sample tax sucks though. I guess they have to make rebuilding money any way they can find it.

samples have been on the light side the past few years. remember, our president is not going to raise your taxes, but every other government entity is sure as hell going to. you cant even give out a sample without the govt busting your balls
