i have noticed since the post office changed to the smaller and less strong small boxes for priority mail, that they don't always seal real well.
case in point, the box i got from brandon today was actually OPEN. the ends were closed, but the adhesive had not held. luckily nothing had happened to the precious cargo.
i've been trying to tape over the sides of the boxes i've been sending out.
just a word to the wise!

I think it's only with the boxes they've been selling in the last 4-6 months and it also depends on the post office, as it relates to the quality of the seal on the boxes.

A couple of friends of mine that do a ton of Ebay selling have been griping about the new boxes for the last few months.

Word on the street is that the adhesive does worst in cooler climates... and a bit better where it's warmer... but still... the tape is very sound advice, especially for this group of bombing maniacs!

Thanks for the heads up guys. I always have the wife box things I am sending out. She used to work at a UPS store and know how to do it right!

The USPS Small Flat Rate boxes have adhesive on the inside of the flap that seals the box together, use tape always these boxes are crappy and I have had problems in the past...
