My good friend finished up this humidor and I couldn't pass on it so here are some pics and the description.

This humidor has a douglas fir exterior with black limba and flamed maple trim. The interior is lined in high figure quilted spanish cedar and solid spanish cedar drawers with olive ash burl fronts.
The main structure of the box is made from high-grade void ree maple plywood. But isn't plywood cheap material? Quite the contrary. It's sad that many companies have turned plywood into the epitome of cheap because in fact plywood is extremely well suited for a number of applications, humidors being a prime example. Plywood is more dimensionally stable than solid wood and therefore is less likely to warp. This is extremely important in a humidor due to the fact that the inside is kept at 70%RH and the outside can shift from 90%RH in the summers in the low country all the way down to 30%RH in a centrally cooled house!
The box has been glued and sealed with splined miters, for a locking joint, and marine grade epoxy, to ensure that your humidor holds up to whatever humidity level you throw at it!
Lastly, the humidor is sealed with moisture locking weather stripping.
