went up last night to preview the slideshow of our daughter's wedding. i'm sure you guys know that our illustrious bro from texas, brooks, is one of these guys that is a documentary wedding photographer. the guy that did ours is a buddy of brooks, and from what he tells me, taught brooks all he knows about the subject! anyway, i digress.
if you have a wedding coming up in the near future in your family, look into this style of photography. you're not going to get a few cheesey poses of each group of family members. instead, you get a chronicle of the whole day. i know our guy, tyler, spent 8 hours with the bride and groom from long before the ceremony til the after reception party. i know that he took literally thousands of pictures (gotta love the digital world)and put together a presentation on dvd that was fantastic. it's something that all of us will watch over the years, not like an album that gets put in a drawer and not looked at until someone dies! at some point i'll put up a link if anyone wants to see what it's all about. even got some pretty cool cigar pics in it.
just wanted to express how great i think this is, and i'm sure you guys seen how talented brooks is with what he has posted here. just imagine if he's the second best documentary photographer around, how cool it would be for him to do your wedding!!
