I assume these will get a Verocu band as well. I'm pretty pumped about those, though I'm worried they will be even pricier than the East/West which was already too much for me.

I'm sure the Blacks will be great too, but I haven't smokes a Black yet, whereas the Verocu is one of my all-time favorites.

I've smoked the West Coast--best stick I've ever had probably--and the #9 which is good, but needs some more humi time. I've yet to try an East Coast (which apparently is what these new Torps will be most similar to...is that true?).

I'm sure I'll at least try to split a box of the new Tubos.

Okay Guys,

To clarify, the red tubo is for the Verocu blend which is the same blend at the East/West and it will have a second band that reads Verocu Tubos. Simple name because I might come out with more sizes in the Verocu Tubos down the road.

The Black Torpedo is the same blend as the Black label robusto and the corona gorda that cam in the jar. No second band needed for the Black.

Hope this clears things up......

Pete, are the red tubos also going to have the same Rosado wrapper as the East/West's did or the #9 wrapper?

Originally Pete said,

"The Torpedo Tubo will be the same blend as the Zona del Este"

....having never had one of those, what kind of wrapper were on them?

If I'm not mistaken the wrapper on those was Cafe Rosado Oscuro, whereas the Verocu No. 9 has a different wrapper, not sure what it's called though. Anyone know for sure? Love that Rosado wrapper though and looking forward to these.

The cigars look great. I missed out on the black cigars so I am looking forward to getting my hands on one of the tubos when they come out.
