Wouldn't you like to know?
With all the fraud out there these days you always wonder a little if anyone will get ahold of your Credit Card info and do some damage before you find out. Today I got a little piece of mind. Within 20 minutes of making a pruchase this afternoon they called about a transaction at a grocery store in Hawaii yesterday. If it had said cigar store they probably wouldn't have looked twice with my normal purchases but grocery store through up the red flags. Well my thanks go out to Marvin for confirming 2 things for me today. Visa takes fraud seriously and more importantly my cigars are paid for and will be shipping soon.

It's always nice to know they actually do their jobs. Amex has surprised me a couple times and took care of an id theft for me a few years ago.

Damn, that is horrible. My dad had something similar happen to him, he got his cell phone cloned twice.

But it is also a relieve that their jobs are done correctly.

Years ago, my father got a call from AMEX asking if he bought a computer from Sears out in California. The dumb ass thief used his card to purchase the computer as a pick-up and got picked up by the police.

My credit card company sends me a text message every time there's a transaction on my card I think most companies now offer it for a nominal fee.

Visa and Matercard are associations, now public companies that control the rules of the use of credit cards. The card issuing bank, Chase, Royal Bank of Canada, Capital One, Scotia are the entities that provide the service such as this. Thank your issuing bank

Ha, funny that happened.

I got a call from a local detective yesterday asking if I had ordered a bunch of Porta Potties for a party. NOT. I guess someone had stolen someones identity and used my address as the mailing address. So, I am hoping that I don't get a truckload of potties sent to my house. If so, I'll be putting them up for trade on some sticks. Hahaha.
