Siglo Boxes

I got my sister's boyfriend a whole bunch of smokes for his b-day and needed some sort of box to throw them in for the pretty wrapping paper that my girlfriend will be adding... I asked her if she would stop by a cigar store that is right near where she works and to bring home a fairly large wooden cigar box. She stopped , looked through the boxes, picked one out and brought it home. When she showed me, she looked proud of her find by the way, I couldn't believe it. A Cohiba Siglo box, don't remember the vitola right now but I can't tell if its real or fake lol I have no idea what a siglo box would even look like. The box reminds me of a Tatuaje verocu box. I guess its either real and the store is selling cubans or its fake and they sell fake cubans lol. How would I know? Does the Siglo box look like a Verocu cab style box? My first assumption is that it has to be fake but now I am not sure. Help a brother out!:dunno:

They should be a varnished slide lid cabinet box. The biggest thing missed by fakes is the lack of date code on the bottom.

Geez, I am pretty sure thats exactly what it looks like, I will have to check for a date but I am pretty sure I saw some kind of box code or something on it.

We get a lot of boxes just dropped off at our store by regulars. There doesn't seem to need to keep them if smoke a lot.

I am sure up in Canadaland you run across these all the time but to find one around here at a cigar shop is very unusual to say the least.... It was a nice find by the girlfriend!

Sorry what I meant was we get a lot of boxes not available here. You are right about the good find as laquered boxes and nicer aren't really common for cc boxes.

I prefer tatuaje esp. the verocu as of right now, we will see if that ends up changing
