Fellas and ladies,

Just got wind of a 'small' package coming my way. Was curious what everyone thought of the following smokes, so I can be prepared when it gets here! Haven't tried any of these yet!

LX2 Toro - Thoughts/opinions?

Vision Epiphany - Thoughts/opinions?

MX2 Box-Press - Thoughts/opinions?

CAO America Humidor...I assume empty! I read they're rare. Anyone know how rare? One of 1 million, 50K, 25K, 100, 20 etc.?

Fire away guys! Curious as to thoughts on the CAOs listed above.

Thanks!

M

I've had the lx2 and the mx2. I like a strong smoke and so loved the lx2. It was very peppery but tasty. Kind of reminded me of an oliva serie v. The mx2 has some pepper but is more smooth and medium. Both are very tasty. Good luck with your package.

Well, here goes....

LX2 Toro - medium bodied, not to be compared to the LFD DL, I like it!

Vision Epiphany - Sorry, never tried one

MX2 Box-Press - medium bodied, tasty double maduro, I like it!

CAO America Humidor - They are nice looking, probably hold 75-100 cigars, know they are limited, but not sure of the total made. Would be a good starter humidor.

I happen to know more than one vision is coming. And since you were the first to mention it, drop me a PM with your addy. I'll drop you an epiphany in the mail!

LX2 Toro - Is a good full-bodied cigar. Lots of flavor to go with its strength.

Vision Epiphany - Solid medium-bodied cigar. A bit overpriced, but good.

MX2 Box-Press - Never had it. Not a big fan of the original Mx2

Haven't had the LX2 yet, but I've enjoyed the couple MX2 I've had, tho they were not the box press. Can't speak to the rest. Sounds like a good package to have on the way! Oh and:

I'm all over the board with CAO. There are times I smoke one of their sticks and I think, "dang these are good" and other times I smoke them and think, "I've had dog turds that taste better than this." Each cigar blend is quite different from the rest.

The LX2 is decent usually, but kinda boring.
The Vision is one of the most disappointing cigar's I've ever smoked. Not bad--just sad.
The MX2 is a pretty good smoke, one of their better sticks IMO.

As for the humidor, I don't know that particular one, but I did used to own a 100ct CAO Black humidor from CI. It's a well-built cheap desktop (does that make any sense) that held humidity beautifully. It wasn't exactly a work of art, but it looked good and did a good job.

MX2 - Smooth... medium bodied smoke with sweetness on the palate and thick creamy smoke. Very consistent. Easy to nub.
LX2 - Peppery. Leans to full bodied with a lot more spice and wood flavor than above. The lancero is particularly good, IMHO.
Vision - Medium bodied. Cinnamon and nutmeg form this one. Lots of dense smoke. Picks up half way through and closes well, but the start for me is boring. I still like them though... they make a good late morning smoke or golf gar.

In my opinion, just like with the new "round" La Ricky's, I think you get a different flavor and taste with the box-pressed MX2's.

I have had the MX2's, Brazil, Italia, red label, America, and the Crillo. I did not like the Crillo. I had recently smoked the America and thought it was very tasty! :cjump:

I like most CAOs, and even love some of them. The Black, Italia, Brazilia, Cameroon and VR are all big winners in my book. I liked the MX2 and LX2 but have only had one of each. The only America I've had was the huge "Anthem" that comes in a coffin--had that for the 4th this year, very fun smoke. Tasty and smooth, pretty full-bodied by the end of that 9" sucker, lol. Definitely a very "fun" cigar.

I have not tried the more expensive ones yet (Soprano, Vision, or 65th Anniverisary), but I have a Vision in my humi I'm pretty sure.

LX2 to me was ok but given the make up I thought it would been spicer, MHO.
Vision I share the same experence as others, it is way over priced for a very mild cigar, really no changes in it.
MX2 of the 3 would be my go to, very nice profile and nice flavors.

Others I would say try in the CAO line;
CX2
Brazilia
