Kendall Culbertsons Outlaw Cigar Company is already well known throughout the Midwest for its enormous humidor and big-time parties, featuring Apache helicopters, Abrams tanks and as many as 2,000 revelers who show up for the action. Now hes doubling the fun.
Culbertson is expanding to a second location, taking over a 7,200 sq. ft. (!) facility that used to be a Romanos Macaroni Grill in Overland Park, Kansas, a Kansas City suburb thats a 30-minute drive from the current location that he opened in 1997.
Our primary focus is not selling cigars, he told the Kansas City Star, its the club atmosphere, the camaraderie. Were excited to get out to Johnson County and have a great time.
The new space will be outfitted not just with a humidor, but dedicated smoking lounges, a poker room, a main lounge with plasma televisions, wireless Internet access and beverage service. And theres a large surface parking lot, perfect for his Outlaw-style parties.
The new location is scheduled to open in October, but the plans for the Grand Opening party have not yet been released, but knowing Culbertson, hell have smokers coming by land, sea and air!
