I woke up Tuesday night/morning to my wife screaming to wake me up. I was standing in the middle of the room and she was freaked out to say the least. I was not dreaming to my recollection, and she said I had a rather aggressive stance.

So have any of you guys done this? I'm going to see a doc because I don't want to sleepwalk down the stairs and break my neck. I'd also like to avoid interpreting my wife as an attacker while I'm sleepwalking.

I've done similar things - though it's rarely violent. It might be sleep-apnia related, but it might be remedied through better sleep habits - no evening food/caffine, reading to get tired & firm sleep schedule, melatonin if necessary, etc...

I had my (then) girlfriend by the hair one time & was swinging at her before I awoke.. Luckily I hasn't actually 'aiming' for her... Haha!!! I was dreaming we were at a zoo & a large snake was rearing back to strike when I noticed the glass was missing - I was reaching to grab a small girl out of the way while swinging at the snake...

I've got a few stories like that.. Now my son started too. Thankfully, neither of our 'sleep behaviors' are serious threats or danger - they are typically amusing & make for some humorous stories...

I've actually read about that. That might be the strangest of all the sleepwalking type behaviors. That and packing or cooking food.

Do you take any medication?

....and this is why I ask....

"The sleep aid Zolpidem (also sold under the brand name Ambien) has been associated with an increased likelihood to sleep walk, including especially dangerous sleeping activities such as driving."

No medicine and I'm not doing anything that I haven't done before. Coffee in the morning, food during the day, water, and beer. I can only guess that possibly its due to a change in my sleep pattern because of the new pup. When she whimpers to pee I usually wake up to take her out. Beyond that I have no clue.

You know, i remember an episode of Dr.House treating a woman that kept on coming back because of a huge rash on her lower back, and kept on explaining that she hadn't had any sex at ALL but then House said it was what you do, hahahaha and then the puzzles connected and noticed why her ex-bf kept on coming back to her all the time.

Anyways...
I do not have that. I can scream while i sleep and never wake up. I can hum something and sometimes do wake up, i can sometimes be very, very rude when someone asks me something in my sleep (One time a friend stayed over to sleep and she said i was asleep already, said that she asked for a blanket because she was cold and my response was: I don't f***ing care) and i could debate a little with my next door roommate (my brother)

I sleep walk all the time. My girl just tells me to go back to bed & I usually do. Just remember to never touch someone who is sleepwalking because they may freak out.

my grandpa got on top of my grandma once and was trying to choke her when she was pregnant. She managed to wake him up, and he was having a dream about being back in Korea.
