Congrats on the house and job! The area you picked is very nice ... almost like living in the country. A mix of old and new ... almost like living in the country in some areas. Many wineries nearby, some good restaurants, and plenty of outdoor activities.

Just an update: the new job is going well (though I can't access BOTL at work), and I've been working almost non-stop on the house. It's a bit of a fixer-upper, but we've painted the interior, and replaced most of the fans and light fixtures and nearly all of the applicances, so it's coming together. I just finished putting the kitchen cabinets back together after some repainting and minor repairs, so I'm relaxing with a RyJ Ex No. 4 and a glass of 10 Cane. (I haven't really had any time to smoke since I moved.)

The wife and kids are doing well (the boys are just starting to crawl!), and the dogs love having a fenced yard.

Hope all is well with you guys!

Congrats on the house.

Mission Pipe in Pleasanton is a great place (kinda pricey but, great anyway). http://www.missionpipecigar.com/

Then there's Tobacco Hut, their lounge is nice - www.bayareacigars.com

If you want to drive over the Altamont, Cigar 'N More in Tracy has a nice selection and lounge.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll have to check all of those places out.

Perhaps we can hook up and enjoy a stick!
I'm down in San Jose. I'm always down for a smoke if you're ever this way.
We should arrange a Bay Area herf at some point.

I am gonna put the official post up soon, but our monthly Northern CA Herf in Sacramento will be on the 3rd of next month if your interested in joining us. Let me know, that commute can be a pain sometimes but it would be great to meet some more BOTL's!

On September 3rd, Cigars 'N More in Tracy will be hosting a Cigar Rolling Event with Rene Sanchez. I will be there with four of five of my cigar buddies. Feel free to join us if you're avaialble.

This conflicts with CAJoes event is the only problem.

Lastly, if you are in the San Francisco area, you have to check out these spots:
