Still keepin busy. Just thought i'd share a few pics.

Refinished an old gym floor in a local middle school that was built in 1936

Found an really BIG cockroach in that old building

But in the end, it all turned out good.

That gym floor secured a job to refinish 4 new gym floors for the school system on a yearly basis. :applause:

Rewarded myself with an 8 lb. brisket.

Celebrated my Mom's 64th birthday with some Maine lobster while the brisket was smoking.

Thoroughly enjoyed a MC Petit Edmundo after that meal (no pics)

Ate the brisket the next morning, along with some smoked sausage

and finally refinished another floor

Taking the day off and gonna have a go at a T110 at some point.

Yeah after living in both FL and PA I would have to say that up here in the northern parts that cock roach is average. There are some big ones down in florida and then there's palmetto bugs I think that look like cock roaches but are not. They're even bigger and commonly mistaken for roaches.

There was an old prison building I was doing training in and there were green tree frogs living in one of the bathrooms. It was strange to walk through the building hearing croaking.

You know seeing all these floor refinishing jobs you're doing....is there a lot of fumes involved with the restoration process? I'm not being a smart ass, do you wear respirators while applying the finish or something?

FUmes? what on earth do you mean??? i don't feel nuttin'!!!

actaully, i used to do environmental clean up, hazmat stuff, so i've got tons of experience with nasty chemicals and i've got tons of masks and cartridges and stuff. if they ever hit my area with a chemical attack, my family will have all the proper PPE. been dressed out in Level A PPE more times than I care to think about.

So yeah, we've got respirators. thanks for your concern.

oh, and yeah, it stinks pretty bad. we tell people to leave their windows open and ventilate for a few days.

but our fabulous EPA is in the process of mandating low VOC (volatile organic compounds) polyurethane. it's supposed to be "better" but it really isn't. it's kind of a pain to work with...lower viscocity and such.

it's actually a running "track". it's hardwood like the floor.

17 laps equals a mile.

Gale, that is awesome bro! Quick question bro... what is the best odorless floor product right now? I've got to get my floors done. Now if I only had a place that served brisket sandwiches near by cause that just made me drool.
