I haven't seen any posts about this cigar yet, so I thought I would share a little about it with my friends.
My son-in-law gave me one a week ago today (42 x 5 Corona), I let it sit in my humidor a week and decided to try it tonight.
I smoke very few maduro's, I like a very strong and hearty cigar, and one of my favorites is the Camacho Triple Maduro, so let me tell you I'm extremely pleased with this cigar.
Easy light and draw, a very nice hearty kick from the start, burned a little uneven (I may not have given it a good initial light) but it evened itself out quickly. It's a slow burner but maintains it strength and flavor throughout.
Here's a little more info about it from the web....
"Even more limited than its brothers in the Summer and Autumn Collections, the Rocky Patel Winter Collection Corona is a strong cigar. A Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper finishes off this Nicaraguan made cigar. A full bodied and strong cigar, the flavor profile is similar to a Camacho Triple Maduro. The corona is 5 inches long and 42 ring gauge, making up a third of the Rocky Patel Winter Collection. Rocky is keeping most of the blend details under wraps about this cigar. The Rocky Patel Winter Collection Robusto will not be around long."
I agree with the assessment on the flavor profile 100%. If it's going to be as limited as it's written, I strongly recommmend getting your hands on some of these cigars, I surely plan too!
