Smoked the Cain Maduro last night and was incredibly impressed. It might be my favorite cigar from the show so far. It is not nearly as powerful as a Cheroot or T110. However, it still packed a punch and the flavor was awesome. Nice and complex, burned great, fantastic construction unlike any other Oliva or Nub for sure. This one is definitely a winner, I will have to smoke the Habano tomorrow, but I am sure it will be fantastic as well. Also, no mention of Oliva on the band, I am pretty sure this will be marketed on its own.

Thanks for the review! I was told yesterday that I would like this cigar and my buddies are picking me up a few.

I have smoked both and was impressed most with the Habano. I would compare them to LFD DL line. It is hard to reinvent the wheel. The Habano is on my top 10 list for sure. Look for some cane "F" series to be out late this year that are even more ligero filled. They will be very limited production and available to retailers who bring in the whole Cain line at the show. I am getting 60.

From the Cain/Oliva rep at their IPCPR Booth (and the final production box, I believe), these are 82% Ligero (as mentioned from the locals above) and 18% Seco to assist with burn.
They are spicy flavorful sticks & did not appear to smell or taste young or youthfully (under fermented) strong.

This is interesting to me...
When we went over to the booth to discuss this cigar, the rep insisted that the reason they used "18% seco" was because it was needed for the burn. I pressed them as to what "straight Ligero" meant and that was why they mentioned the seco percentage to me. If they can put MORE ligero in the blend, what is the reason for the percentages they chose? The ability to sell an Ultra Ligero later? I don't think I like that...
