I never smoke a cigar unless I have a drink to go with it...The cigar dictates the drink...if I smoke something extremely dark or strong I go straight scotch, bourbon, dark rum, or cognac (I like B&B as well)....something a little lite I mix water/scotch or bourbon or I do a vodka or gin martini...now if I am smoking CC's or something with a unique flavor profile I go Patron or Hacienda tequila or a vodka martini (gotta be goose). On a very very rare occasion I have smoked while drinking an ice tea...but I can count those times on one hand. Beer is never first...but I will drink as a chaser after a glass of booze. :bottle:

"I mix water/scotch or bourbon"

In my opinion, the best way to ruin a good single malt scotch or small batch bourbon is to add water and/or ice!

Can be true but it all depends on what you are drinking...Like if you are drinking say Makers Bourbon or even a Sheep Dip Scotch (blend) I find it acceptable to mix with water...but say if you do a GlenFiddich 15yr single malt scotch I would do straight no water no cube.

H2O especially for cigars I've not yet tried, only had a few of, or am reviewing. Otherwise, most any alcohol! :bottle:

I keep a jug of distilled water for my Scotch. Just a wee drop and it opens it up rather nicely. No ice for me...ever.

Ahh, Sierra Nevada. Have you tried their Torpedo yet?
Great beer! Although, I'll drink anything with Sierra Nevada on the label! I don't think I've ever had anything but alcohol with a cigar, but I'm going to try the Coke Zero and Dr. Pepper route real soon. Thanks for the suggestions.

My two "go-to's" are:

Ginger ale
Iced Coffee - usually with a touch of Hazelnut

Too hot in PHX for anything that can't be served over ice!

I'm more of a Schweppes ginger ale kinda guy. What I really love is Schweppes bitter lemon, but is hard to find anymore.
