I received the message below from the folks at cigar.com. Problem is, I have never had this stick and wondering if it is something worth going after.

Message:

Camacho 1962 Pre-Embargo

I am a big-time fan of Camacho's stuff and in particular this blend. For those of you looking for something special, this is it!

I don't know about this Pre-Embargo thing, but the story behind this cigar is that it contains some Cuban tobacco cultivated before the current embargo which started in 1962. That's the story, but here's what I know for certain.

This is one of the best tasting cigars I have ever had the pleasure of enjoying. If price weren't an issue I would smoke one of these every day.

The flavor is all over the place: very complex with a slight saltiness and heavy undertones of chocolate, leather, and a lingering subtle sweetness. This cigar really has it all.

Try it through this email for HALF OFF!

10 Camacho 1962 Pre-Embargo toro (6 x 52) for $125 (web price $250)

If you are interested in taking advantage of this deal simply reply to this email. Please indicate how many samplers you want if more than one. I will use the same card as your last order and ship to the same address unless you indicate otherwise. Shipping will be $5.95. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have regarding this special deal. Thank you as always!

you can get these WAY cheaper on the devil site.

although he is right, if they were under 5 a piece, i'd smoke them at least weekly.

great cigar, it may only have flakes of PE tobacco, it could be ALL PE tobacco, but it's no gurkha. it lives up to it's hype, imho.

Agreed. I've gotten a few of the three-packs off the devil site and elsewhere for $30 or less. Well worth it and hard to resist sometimes.

I've been warned. Unfortunately, I just peered into the vortex. Looks like I am going to be in the market for a disposable Credit Card and a mailing address to send my overflow to.

I've smoked my share of olides and these don't taste old at all. Might have a sprinkle of old leaf, but other than marketing it's just a freshly made cigar to me. Smoke em if you like em, but they don't hold up to vintage cubans at all.

I hope that a 33% Cuban filler cigar doesn't hold up to a 100% Cuban filler and wrapper cigar. It is what it is.
